Hopefully by this time, you're aware of the dangers inherent to prescription drug abuse. Not only are they incredibly powerful, but they are also located in your bathroom cupboard.
Think your kids can't find those old painkillers from your knee injury? Think again. Even good kids fall for the "It's prescribed by doctors. It can't be that bad," excuse.
The Drug Enforcement Agency has prepared its fifth National Drug Take Back Initiative to help push us all to clear out those cupboards. This time, they paired with local police forces and agencies around the area.
What's going to happen?
On Saturday, September 29th, there will be dropboxes around the country. From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, you can drop off any prescription medications for safe, legal disposal.
This is not the first event of it's kind, but it's the only one like it until probably next spring. Go ahead and remove these threats from your house the right way.
To find the best location for you, please use this little search engine. I was going to add all of the local agencies, but there are so many places you can go!

This is the 5th event of its kind that DEA has hosted. The 4th one, which occurred this spring, took in over 276 tons of prescription drugs from across the country. Not web saavy? Go ahead and call them at 1-800-882-9539 to find the collection site nearest to you.
